Teach in Spanglish: A Multilingual OER for History and Social Science Teaching
In this session, UO historian Julie Weise will present her work on Teach in Spanglish, a free but instructor-facing OER that shows historians and other social science teachers how to teach scaffolded Spanish and Spanglish content to students with even basic levels of Spanish.

Creating Open Educational Resources with DEIA in Mind
Teacher-created visual materials are necessary for communication in the novice language classroom, but they also present a particular opportunity for DEIS. This presentation explores image databases and simple design tools for creating Open Educational Resources that maximize both DEIA and comprehensibility.
